Description

Delicious Tiramisu Brownies that blend the decadence of traditional brownies with the classic Italian dessert’s charm, featuring rich chocolate, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and creamy mascarpone.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup ladyfingers
  • 1 cup strong brewed espresso
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter until browned slightly; remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the brown butter, granulated sugar, and eggs; whisk until smooth.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract, cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Soak ladyfingers in brewed espresso briefly.
  7. Layer soaked ladyfingers over baked brownie layer.
  8. Spread remaining brownie batter over ladyfingers and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
  9. Whip mascarpone cheese with powdered sugar until creamy.
  10. Let brownies cool before topping with mascarpone and dusting with cocoa powder.

Notes

For make-ahead tips, prepare brownies in advance and add mascarpone topping just before serving.
