- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup ladyfingers
- 1 cup strong brewed espresso
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter until browned slightly; remove from heat and let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brown butter, granulated sugar, and eggs; whisk until smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract, cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
- Soak ladyfingers in brewed espresso briefly.
- Layer soaked ladyfingers over baked brownie layer.
- Spread remaining brownie batter over ladyfingers and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
- Whip mascarpone cheese with powdered sugar until creamy.
- Let brownies cool before topping with mascarpone and dusting with cocoa powder.
