- 1 package of store-bought puff pastry
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut into heart shapes using a cookie cutter or knife.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart and spread gently.
- Generously arrange the sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese.
- Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the filling, sealing them securely.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
