Tender chicken breasts slowly cooked in a rich sauce of cranberry and French dressing, perfect for family dinners.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (jellied or whole-berry)
- 1/2 cup French dressing
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
- Nonstick cooking spray or a little oil for greasing the slow cooker (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick spray or a little oil.
- Season the Chicken: Generously season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
- Combine the Sauce: In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the cranberry sauce, French dressing, and onion soup mix until smooth.
- Layer It Up: Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over them.
- Cook to Perfection: Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until the chicken shreds easily.
- Shred and Serve: Shred the chicken in the slow cooker, stir to coat in the sauce, and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Make ahead by assembling the ingredients a day in advance. Can be prepared in an Instant Pot or oven as alternatives.
