- 310 ml whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (or cornstarch for gluten-free)
- 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Flaky pastry dough (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to pastry dough instructions.
- In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, brown the breakfast sausage, breaking it up until fully cooked.
- Sprinkle flour and black pepper over the sausage and stir to combine.
- Whisk in the milk until the mixture thickens, then remove from heat.
- Roll out the pastry dough to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into rectangles (4×6 inches).
- Place spoonfuls of the sausage mixture on one half of each rectangle.
- Fold over the dough, press to seal, and crimp the edges with a fork.
- Bake on a lined baking sheet until golden brown and flaky.
