- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter, eggs, and the yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread raspberry jam on top.
- Roll the dough tightly, pinching the seams to seal.
- Twist the dough into a spiral shape and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
For the best results, ensure your milk is warmed, and don’t rush the rising times.
