Description

A delightful brioche loaf with a rich buttery flavor and a swirl of fresh raspberry jam, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter, eggs, and the yeast mixture.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread raspberry jam on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly, pinching the seams to seal.
  7. Twist the dough into a spiral shape and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let it cool before slicing.

For the best results, ensure your milk is warmed, and don’t rush the rising times.
