- 500g ground meat (beef, lamb, or chicken)
- 2 large potatoes, diced
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2–3 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Water as needed
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once shimmering, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Sauté onions until translucent, stirring occasionally.
- Incorporate the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking for a couple of minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes soften.
- Brown the minced meat until thoroughly cooked and fragrant.
- Mix in the diced potatoes, folding them gently into the meat mixture.
- Pour in enough water to cover the potatoes and bring to a boil.
- Simmer covered until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 20-25 minutes.
- Finish with garam masala just before serving and garnish with fresh coriander.
