Description

A comforting chicken bake with creamy goodness, garlic, and paprika topped with a crunchy breadcrumb layer.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Nonstick spray or butter for greasing the baking dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
  3. Pat the chicken breasts dry and arrange them in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the creamy layer.
  6. In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs with olive oil and mix until the crumbs glisten.
  7. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly across the cheese layer.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and is golden brown.
  9. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before garnishing with parsley and serving warm.
