Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg whites in a clean mixing bowl until frothy.
- Add the cream of tartar and continue to beat until soft peaks form.
- Gradually incorporate the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until stiff peaks form.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
- Drop dollops of meringue onto the prepared baking sheet using a piping bag or a spoon.
- Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until dry and crisp.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely in the oven.
