- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined.
- Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon; stir in the melted butter.
- Spoon the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter in the pan.
- Top with the remaining batter and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
- For the frosting, beat the cream cheese and butter together, then mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla. Add milk until you reach your desired consistency.
- Frost the cooled bars, cut into squares, and serve.
