- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract until blended.
- Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Use a spoon to drop generous spoonfuls of batter onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and milk.
- Drizzle the glaze over the fritters once slightly cooled.
Notes
These fritters can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator. Consider using an air fryer for a quicker version.
