A delicious combination of creamy goat cheese, tender shredded chicken, and a sweet-spicy drizzle of hot honey, all toasted between slices of sourdough bread.

- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 4 oz goat cheese, softened
- 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 2 tbsp honey
- 0.5 to 1 tsp red chili flakes
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Hot Honey: In a small bowl, combine honey and red chili flakes. Set aside.
- Assemble Your Sandwiches: Spread softened goat cheese on one side of each sourdough slice.
- Layer with Chicken: Place shredded chicken on two cheese-covered slices and drizzle with hot honey. Season with salt and pepper.
- Complete Your Sandwich: Top with remaining slices, cheese side down, and press gently.
- Butter the Sides: Spread softened butter on the outer side of both sandwiches.
- Cook to Perfection: Heat your skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and cheese melts.
- Serve with Flair: Slice sandwiches diagonally and drizzle with additional hot honey if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Make ahead the hot honey mixture and store in the refrigerator. Serve with a fresh salad or sweet potato fries.
