Description

A delightful no-knead bread inspired by the flavors of everything bagels, featuring a crispy crust and airy interior.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 31/4 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp everything bagel seasoning, divided
  • 11/2 cups warm water

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the bread flour, instant yeast, salt, and 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the warm water to your dry mixture and stir with a fork until combined, resulting in a shaggy texture.
  3. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and place a towel over it. Let the dough rest in a non-drafty place for 12 to 24 hours.
  4. Prepare a large square of parchment paper by sprinkling it with flour. Turn the dough out onto the parchment.
  5. Flour your hands and the top of the dough, then fold the dough into itself, shaping it into a rough ball.
  6. Flip the dough with the smooth side facing up and make an ‘X’ cut on top.
  7. Cover the dough loosely with plastic wrap and let it rest for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven.
  8. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
  9. Brush or spray the loaf with warm water and sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning over the top.
  10. Remove the hot Dutch oven and gently lower the loaf inside using the parchment paper.
  11. Bake for 30 minutes covered, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For best results, allow the dough to rise properly and avoid over-handling.
