Description

A comforting and easy meatloaf recipe that combines ground beef, spices, and a sweet-savory glaze for a perfect family meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Mix brown sugar with 1/4 cup of ketchup for the glaze and spread it over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Make ahead by mixing and shaping the meatloaf a day in advance and refrigerate. Consider cooking in an air fryer for a quicker bake.
