- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Mix brown sugar with 1/4 cup of ketchup for the glaze and spread it over the meatloaf.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Make ahead by mixing and shaping the meatloaf a day in advance and refrigerate. Consider cooking in an air fryer for a quicker bake.
