Description

Delicious brownies that combine the comforting qualities of banana bread with the rich, fudgy texture of brownies, featuring crunchy walnuts and gooey mini chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 2 large room-temperature eggs
  • 34 medium ripe bananas
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the granulated sugar and melted butter in a mixing bowl until smooth and glossy.
  3. Add the eggs one by one, whisking well after each addition.
  4. Incorporate the mashed bananas gently into the mixture.
  5. Stir in the sour cream and vanilla extract until just combined.
  6. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually incorporate this into the wet ingredients.
  7. Add the chopped walnuts and mini chocolate chips, folding them in evenly.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Cool the brownies in the pan before cutting them into squares.
