Delightfully crispy and flavorful ranch-breaded mushrooms perfect for a snack or as a party appetizer, made effortlessly in an air fryer.

- 1 pound large button mushrooms, cleaned and stems trimmed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs + 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or olive oil for spraying
Instructions
- Clean and prep the mushrooms by gently wiping each with a damp cloth.
- Set up three shallow bowls for the breading process: flour with salt and pepper, whisked eggs and water, and the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about five minutes.
- Coat each mushroom in flour, dip into the egg mixture, and then roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Give each mushroom a light spray with oil to enhance crispiness.
- Air fry the mushrooms in a single layer for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- Cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour or cornstarch. Make ahead by storing the breaded mushrooms in the fridge until ready to air fry.
