Description

A delightful dessert combining rich, fudgy brownies and airy chocolate mousse, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, then stir in the granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat, add eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gently stir into the butter mixture until just blended.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely in the pan.
  7. Whip heavy cream in a bowl until soft peaks form.
  8. Melt chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, then let cool slightly.
  9. Fold melted chocolate into whipped cream until combined.
  10. Spread the mousse over the cooled brownies.
  11. For the ganache, melt additional chocolate with cream and pour over mousse once cooled.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a decorative touch, dust with cocoa powder or powdered sugar before serving. Pair with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries.
