A comforting Chili Cheese Potato Skillet featuring crispy potatoes topped with savory ground beef, zesty chili beans, and melted cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 small to medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 450 grams ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 280 grams diced tomatoes and green chiles, drained
  • 440 grams chili beans, drained
  • 170 grams shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sour cream, to serve
  • Sliced jalapeños, to serve

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Peel, wash, and dice potatoes into even cubes. Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a bowl until evenly coated.
  2. Air Fry the Potatoes: Arrange the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer and cook at 200°C for 25 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  3. Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet, sauté ground beef and onions over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add Flavorful Ingredients: Season the beef with salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, and chili powder. Stir in garlic, diced tomatoes, and chili beans; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Carefully fold in the crispy potatoes with the beef mixture and sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
  6. Melt the Cheese: Transfer to a preheated oven at 200°C and bake for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve It Up: Top with chopped green onions, sour cream, and sliced jalapeños. Enjoy hot!

Notes

Feel free to swap ingredients based on dietary preferences; sweet potatoes or plant-based meat can be excellent alternatives.
