Description

A creamy, savory pasta dish combining chicken, bacon, and ranch flavors, perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 strips bacon
  • Salt/Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta (Rotini recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing seasoning mix

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over low heat until crisp. Set aside and reserve drippings.
  2. Slice the chicken breasts, season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning, then sear in the reserved drippings over medium-high heat until golden and fully cooked (5-7 minutes). Let rest before cubing.
  3. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic, then add flour. Gradually whisk in half and half, stirring until smooth. Add ranch seasoning and cheese, mixing until melted.
  5. Toss the pasta in the sauce, add cubed chicken, and top with crumbled bacon. Serve warm.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Pair with a green salad or garlic bread.
