Description

A warm, cheesy dish combining rich ground beef and gooey cheese wrapped in flaky crescent dough, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart using a spatula until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Transfer the beef mixture to a mixing bowl. Add cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
  5. Open the can of crescent dough and unroll it into one large sheet, pressing seams together.
  6. Spread the beef and cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. With the long side facing you, roll the dough tightly, pinching the seam to seal and tucking the ends underneath.
  8. Place the roll seam-side down on the baking sheet and brush the top with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Let it rest for 5 minutes, slice into thick rounds, garnish with extra parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or roasted vegetables. Consider offering marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
