Description

A comforting casserole combining crispy French fries with seasoned ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for family dinners or potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups frozen French fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sliced pickles and ketchup for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Layer half of the frozen French fries in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  5. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the fries.
  6. Pour the soup mixture over the beef.
  7. Top with the remaining fries and sprinkle cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until fries are crispy and cheese is bubbly.
  9. Serve with pickles and ketchup if desired.

Notes

Assemble the casserole the night before for convenience. Can also be made in an air fryer.
