A comforting casserole combining crispy French fries with seasoned ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for family dinners or potlucks.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups frozen French fries
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sliced pickles and ketchup for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk. Whisk until smooth.
- Layer half of the frozen French fries in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly over the fries.
- Pour the soup mixture over the beef.
- Top with the remaining fries and sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until fries are crispy and cheese is bubbly.
- Serve with pickles and ketchup if desired.
Notes
Assemble the casserole the night before for convenience. Can also be made in an air fryer.
