Description

A warm and indulgent bread pudding made with day-old bread, rich cream, and served with a luscious vanilla sauce, evoking nostalgia with every bite.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups bread, cubed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Combine the cubed bread and raisins in a large bowl.
  4. Whisk together milk, cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
  5. Pour the custard mixture over the bread and let it soak for 15 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to your greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and set.
  8. Make the vanilla sauce by heating cream, sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan.
