- 4 cups bread, cubed
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease your baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Combine the cubed bread and raisins in a large bowl.
- Whisk together milk, cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture over the bread and let it soak for 15 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to your greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and set.
- Make the vanilla sauce by heating cream, sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan.
- Serve warm with a drizzle of vanilla sauce.
