- 3 lbs boneless pork shoulder or pork butt
- 1½ tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1½ cups barbecue sauce
- ⅓ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 16 slider buns
- 2 cups coleslaw mix
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the pork: Pat the pork dry with paper towels and rub with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Mix the sauce: Combine the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl.
- Slow cook the pork: Place the pork in a slow cooker, pour the sauce over it, cover, and cook on low for about 6 hours.
- Make the coleslaw: In a separate bowl, mix coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
- Shred the pork: Transfer the pork to a bowl, shred with two forks, and return to the slow cooker.
- Assemble the sliders: Slice slider buns, fill with pulled pork, top with coleslaw, and cap with the bun top.
Notes
The pulled pork can be made a day in advance and tastes even better the next day. Consider adding toppings like pickles or jalapeños for added flavor.
