Description

Tender shreds of pork slathered in barbecue sauce, served on soft buns with creamy coleslaw for a perfect bite-sized treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 lbs boneless pork shoulder or pork butt
  • 1½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1½ cups barbecue sauce
  • ⅓ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 16 slider buns
  • 2 cups coleslaw mix
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pork: Pat the pork dry with paper towels and rub with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Mix the sauce: Combine the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl.
  3. Slow cook the pork: Place the pork in a slow cooker, pour the sauce over it, cover, and cook on low for about 6 hours.
  4. Make the coleslaw: In a separate bowl, mix coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Shred the pork: Transfer the pork to a bowl, shred with two forks, and return to the slow cooker.
  6. Assemble the sliders: Slice slider buns, fill with pulled pork, top with coleslaw, and cap with the bun top.

Notes

The pulled pork can be made a day in advance and tastes even better the next day. Consider adding toppings like pickles or jalapeños for added flavor.
