Description

A comforting baked apple crumble that combines tart apples with a sweet, crumbly topping, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the rolled oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and stir until you achieve a crumbly texture.
  4. Grease a baking dish and layer the apple mixture evenly. Top it with the crumble mixture.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing different types of apples and adding nuts or dried fruits.
