Description

A cozy dessert featuring tender apples topped with a buttery, crumbly mixture, perfectly balanced between sweet and tart flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon, letting them marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. Pour your apple mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. In another bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, and salt. Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apples.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a unique flavor, substitute half of the brown sugar with maple syrup. A mix of tart and sweet apples enhances the flavor.
