Description

A simple yet flavorful finger food made with cocktail smokies wrapped in crispy bacon and glazed with brown sugar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 cocktail smokies (approximately 14 oz)
  • 12 slices regular bacon (not thick-cut)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark, about 3.5 oz)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  3. Cut each bacon slice in half crosswise.
  4. Wrap each cocktail smokie with a half-strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Place the bacon-wrapped smokies seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over each bacon-wrapped smokie.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until bacon is crispy and sugar has caramelized.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For make-ahead, assemble the smokies a day in advance and refrigerate. They can also be air-fried at 370°F (188°C) for 15-20 minutes.
